System Type & Operation
- Fully automatic, computer-controlled agarose gel electrophoresis system
- Dry, temperature-controlled migration chamber
- High-efficiency, Peltier-driven temperature control
- Automatic sample application, migration, staining, destaining
- Automatic result interpretation
Description:
MES-40 is able to perform the electrophoretic procedures of the following clinical tests automatically:
- Serum proteins
- Haemoglobins
- Urine protein
- Immunofixation
- Lipoprotein
furthermore, additional tests may be created and customized, such as Serum protein multifractionation.
MES-40 uses supported cellulose acetate strips which are managed completely automatically. Simply insert them in the appropriate slots and tell the machine which strips to use.
The patient archive is stored on an external computer (HOST) connected to the machine through a standard USB cable. The number of patients which can be stored in the archive (never less than 100,000 in any case) therefore depends on
the capacity of computer’s magnetic storage medium (HARD DISK).
